Seating the next generation
Mudgeeraba Show Society is the not-for-profit engine behind one of the Gold Coast’s most iconic events — the annual Mudgeeraba Show — and caretakers of 13 acres of community greenspace used year-round by local groups and clubs.
Following years of weather damage and structural decline, the Society made the difficult decision to decommission four beloved grandstands.
This year’s support from Nerang RSL is helping fund a new portable grandstand — providing safe, flexible seating for the public at major events for years to come.

👮♂️ Kicking Goals On and Off Duty
For the third year running, Nerang RSL is proud to support the Nerang Police Station & Associated Soccer Team — a small but meaningful initiative that recognises the service of our local police officers and invests in their health and wellbeing.
Made up of 15 officers from the Nerang Police Station, the team competes in social soccer competitions across the Gold Coast. What started as a way to stay active has become a vital outlet for stress relief, mental health support and team camaraderie — helping officers maintain balance in one of the community’s most demanding professions.
This round of Community Fund support helps purchase new uniforms and contributes to registration fees for the 2025 season.
It’s a modest investment in the people who dedicate themselves to protecting and serving Nerang.

🏏 Honour, Legacy & Support: Backing the Warrior Cup
We were proud to support Wandering Warriors with funding for their Annual Memorial Warrior Cup — a powerful event that honours the legacy of Australia’s Special Operations veterans and raises funds to support those who served.
Wandering Warriors is a registered charity supporting veterans of the Australian Defence Force’s Special Operations Command, including the SAS, 2nd Commando Regiment, and personnel from Army, Navy, and Air Force backgrounds. Their mission centres around connection, rehabilitation and opportunity — and the Warrior Cup is a shining example of those values in action.
First held in 2019, the Cup began as a friendly cricket match between the SAS and the 2nd Commandos. It has since grown into a flagship annual event, now drawing over 150 attendees and growing in stature each year.
Nerang RSL’s contribution will help ensure its continued success in January 2026, enabling Wandering Warriors to continue raising funds and awareness for programs that support Australia’s most elite veterans and their families.
